It’s never too late to study, no one is ever too old to earn a degree. In the recent news, a grandmother aged 83 years old, enrolled herself to high school to realize her dream of at least being a high school graduate. There are persons who are busy with work yet want to earn their diplomas. There are schools that offer online degree studies for those people who does not want to attend the normal school. If you have the means but don’t have the time, e-learning is an option.

Now, there is no reason to say no to school, huh!

It will only be a matter of weeks and the kids will start schooling this year. Goodness! Time flew really fast I barely even noticed that my little girls are now ready for school. We intentionally wanted to send them to school last year but hubby backed out and said he still wanted to let them enjoy being kids and just play so they had extra year of playing.

Early this year, I asked several toddlers schools and they are not accepting students who did not take Kinder 1, meaning, they wanted my kids to attend K1 despite them having good academic exam results. We kept looking and finally, there was one that is result oriented and allowed the kids to enroll after successfully passing the entrance examination. It’s a Catholic school and my Alma Mater (I studied there in High School).

Going back, now that the kids will start schooling, I will no longer be just busy about work and I might be in need of some pronexin. Getting up early will become a normal routine in our household. I will always need to prepare breakfast extra early and then bathe the kids, dress them and get them ready to school before I prepare myself to go to work. The once busy life will even be busier and this time, there is no turning back. It will be reality that we will soon come to face LOL!

They are already having summer tutorials! Yes, the girls are going to school in 2 months. I haven’t enrolled them in any school yet – they still need to take the examinations before I can do so. Whew! I’ve never known how difficult the enrollment process are nowadays. There were schools who starts the admission process as early as August and my, I was so surprised about the tuition fee of each schools! It’s more like getting into a medical school! For the mean time, I enrolled the girls for a 1 week tutorial. They are being handled by my elementary teacher who happens to be our neighbor. She loved the girls and she is amazed at how bright they were.

I can’t imagine how fast time flies – my babies are getting out of the house and will soon start being independent. I will soon be tutoring them about their lessons and I am not good at teaching. I just do hope I will have a room full of patience whenever I will start helping them with their assignments. I can pretty much teach them about everything pre-school but I am praying there won’t be much about history, especially about those guys wearing breeches during the older times LOL!

This mom has been long away from books and it’s time to get into studying. Concentrating and trying to get into the studying mojo…..zzzz…

The girls have grown real fast and I can’t believe they’ll be 5 years old in another 6 months. Last year, I was already thinking of enrolling them to a toddlers school but hubby decided not to and let the kids play for another year. I knew I could trust his decision because last year, both of them already know how to write their names and some words. They started reading and are continually learning new words each day. So the schooling was postponed to this year.

As I look back, I saw their picture when they were still in NICU, 12 days after they were born. Just look at how tiny they were then. 3.3 lbs – both of them.

But now, they are ready to go to school, play with other kids and mingle with different people around them.

Oh I am getting nostalgic, I tend to recall my school days too! A lot of classmates and playmates running around the school ground before the flag ceremony. Cleaning of classrooms before and after class and making sure that everyone wears their cover shoes so the floor would always be clean and shiny. I just wish we had disposable shoe covers before so I won’t have to worry about cleaning it everyday.

Will they be OK at school? That is the question I always ask myself. I tend to be overprotective and I can’t let go. I am not sure if I’d be able to send them to school daily but for sure, my family will be here to support us. These times are when I wanted to just stay at home and be a mom and wife. LOL. Anyway, I know they’ll be alright. They are ready. All I need to prepare is myself.
