In this day and age, technology has made our life so much easier with the invention of many household appliances that makes doing chores much faster, and with much less effort. While I still prefer to do some things manually such as washing the dishes, here are some of the wonderful household inventions that I think are awesome.
1. Fully Automatic Washing Machine. This is such a big help for me. Having used a manual washing machine before, I noticed the amount of time I am able to save by using this beauty. Just dump all the clothes in, detergent, and fabric conditioner. Come back when it’s done and all you have to do is hang them out to dry. Some models actually dry them completely so all you have to do is fold or iron. I can’t wait for the day that all you have to do is put them in your closet.
2. Wet and Dry Vacuum Cleaner. With kids around the house, it saves me a lot of time having to pick each and every morsel that they drop in the kitchen floor. Or the effort I have to go through by having to wipe the juice that spilled on the counter. With this machine, I can just vacuum everything up and I’m done.
Now there are a lot of other things that I’m sure each of you love, but those 2 are my most prized household appliances. I’d appreciate one of those ladybug vapor steam cleaners if someone would give to me, but for now, I’m all good to go.

It has been more than 2 months now since our helper left the house. I never knew I’d be able to survive without one but this post is a proof that even without them, I can still be a designer, a blogger, wife and a momma rolled into one. It wasn’t really easy though. Most of what I am doing now are the things that I barely even think of doing before. Dishwashing, laundry, cleaning, ironing, among other things. It’s a bitter sweet experience. As I dedicate my time on being at home, working and doing my job as a mom, I came to realize things and these, I want to share with you all.

Dishwashing liquid can be itchy. It dries our hands and just as it’s very useful when cleaning our utensils, it’s a pain for our precious hands.

Bathroom and kitchen should be kept sanitary – at all times! Even if you can’t do everything in a day, just these two will make you feel satisfied. Take time to clean them before going to bed and you’ll surely wake up in a good mood.

Helpers tend to lie – even when it comes to brushing our kids’ teeth. One thing I love about my girls now is that they no longer have bad breath. It’s soothing!

Husbands are hamper blind. They don’t even know where to put their used clothes after changing.

If you aren’t use to nagging, you’ll soon get used to it when you’re raising kids, doing the housework, working at home and regularly chatting with your husband over the messenger.

Make-up are necessary at home too! Who said you only need to put it when you’re going out? Try to look good even when you’re at home. You’ll never know who’s coming to pay you a visit.

Getting up early is worth it. And soon, you’ll get used to going to bed early too.

Pimples are inevitable! Take your pills!

You’ll realize you are getting old. Picking up the kids’ toys every now and then will cause you to have back pains already. Lesson, let them play all day and tidy things up when they are in bed.

Lotion is our best friend! Take time to give your hands some care after a hard day’s work.

Who said that staying at home is better than working in the office? You better think again. Being a momma is a job incomparable to every job you’ll find around the globe. Are we properly compensated? I’ll never know until my girls are grown up and enjoying a blissful living. ‘Til then, my pay will be worth the wait.

With more and more people discovering the benefits of spending time in the garden, the importance of outdoor garden lights in creating the right mood and atmosphere has been brought to the fore. An outdoor garden can be the most beautiful and serene space in one’s home. The secret lies in the proper arrangement of lights.

Recent developments in lighting fixtures for outdoor gardens include solar lights, low voltage lights and led spot lights. These innovations have made it possible to conserve energy and electricity without sacrificing the desired effect. Outdoor garden lights are available in various colors, styles and functions. Whether as post lights, wall lights or path lights, these lights have become much more than a way to accentuate landscaping.

The beauty of the effects of outdoor lighting is best seen at night where underwater fountain lights or pond lights give a different perspective to the fountain and pond, respectively. A play in lighting color opens up all kinds of possibilities for the garden. Outdoor step lights provide required illumination to keep people from stumbling in the dark. Spot and floodlights can be used to draw attention to a specific location or anything intended to be highlighted. Other outdoor garden lights include deck lights, work lights, lanterns, headlamps and marine lights. Quality outdoor lights should provide many years of dependable service.

Well – a room in the house is. But it’s all clean now. Thanks to hubby initiating the clean up LOL! It was actually a room he constantly use to assemble his gundam kits. He felt like he is in a trash bin every time he is in there and asked for a help to clean up – or so I thought.

I understand that when cleaning, you need to check on everything inside and see if there are some things that are no longer being used. Those should go to the trash. But then, all he did was throw things away hahaha! The room was nearly empty when he stopped! I was going crazy when he even wanted to throw the baby clothes in the closet. I wanted to give them to my sister who is pregnant but that has to wait for some time. Good thing, he let it go LOL! How can I throw something as precious as those baby clothes….

If you have already given birth, most probably the body shape that you have right now is not the same as the one that you used to have before you got pregnant. I was looking at old stuff the other day, I have seen my old clothes and I can’t believe I had that small frame before. Of course, I am still in my best shape according to my husband and to some other friends who got even bigger than I am haha. But I want to get that hourglass shape again, a friend recommended some diet pills that work. But I would prefer doing it the natural way; proper diet and exercise. Wish me luck!
