Home And Well Being,
Of Being Me
When was the last time I slept early? Can’t even remember. All I can recall are the days when I have the best sleep ever and they are as follows:
- When I gave birth – SEDATED
- When I had an operation – SEDATED
- When I underwent gastroscopy – SEDATED (I requested it)
Guess I really need to be sedated to be able to sleep soundly and really feel refreshed after. The best was the 2-hour sleep after the gastroscopy because there is no pain. Ahhh, if only it isn’t dangerous, I’d probably request another shot. LOL! The other night was the worst. I was able to feel sleepy around 1:30AM so I went to bed. I woke up around 2:00AM, went back to bed at 2:30AM. Then I felt I needed to pee around 3:30AM. Gosh, why is this happening to me. Around 4PM I was startled when I felt pain and when I came to my senses, I saw the little girl beside me has kicked me. Arrghh…went back to bed and the alarm sounded by 5:30AM. Whatever happened to my sleep????
I felt like a zombie that day. It was irritating and I recall I have sounded a bit harsh to some office mates. Who wouldn’t? I guest this is why even the best acne treatments aren’t working for me. I have always been deprived of sleep and sleep is essential in having a good health – and skin.
Am I classified as insomniac? It’s pretty obvious. I just do hope I’d learn to sleep so soundly like my husband – he’s already asleep, 2 minutes after he laid his back. LOL!

Home And Well Being
Literally! Vision is blurred and feeling a little dizzy while on the go. And it’s all because my eyeglasses’ nose pad got broke over the weekend. Sheeesh!
I was getting in and out of the shop while waiting for the parade and when it finally came, there was nothing much to see but a bunch of supporters wearing their campaign shirts. Kinda disappointing considering it should be a Thanksgiving Parade. Oh well, election is just around the corner so it is to be expected.
The girls are getting quite uncomfortable with the heat and the not-so-colorful parade so I was putting them in the shop every so often to keep their cool. Alas, I noticed my glasses are a bit tilted to the right and when I took it off, man the nose pad is gone! Arrrghhh! I was supposed to be able to live without it but just recently, I noticed I became even more dependent to it. My vision probably have worsened because of too much activity in front of the computer.
Anyway, I am contemplating over buying a new glasses or have this one repaired as I am not really comfortable with it anymore. I should probably be on the lookout for some discount prescription eyeglasses available. I have not been so disturbed like this but I guess getting old has its side effect too. Am I that old already????

Home And Well Being
A year after I gave birth, I was back to my normal weight of 45 kgs. I was even flattered to hear some comments that I don’t look like I got pregnant at all. Well, that was about 3 years ago.
Yesterday, I bumped into an old friend and he ask, “Are you pregnant?”. Oh no! I am hearing such statements again. LOL. Well, I can’t blame them. I may have overlooked taking care of my body when I started working again and as a result, this big tummy got even bigger and it even made me look preggy. Do you think that phosphacore will help me eliminate it? I was kind of thinking I’d try it.
Getting myself to exercise is just not my cup of tea but will I get to try it some time? I was invited to go to a gym a couple of time, play badminton (and I don’t know how) and I have declined all of those invitations. Maybe I should just try, go and burn some fats. It might help me a little. I even joined the Biggest Looser Challenge over at My Life and Scrap but I have not been checking in lately because I was busy with all the other things going on at the site.
Sighh…when will this tummy ever get back to it’s old self again.

Of Being Me
You bet I am. As a matter of fact, I am still in denial about my age. LOL! It’s actually not the aging process that worries me, it’s the fact that my face won’t ever be the same again. I am never pretty as any other girls but I have always wanted to look good. Can somebody recommend a good anti aging product I can use?
It really makes me frantic when the topic is about age. In the office, I used to be the young one around but now, I am one the “old” personnel and most of my colleagues are calling me “Inay” (mother). I am flattered that they have looked up to me as their mom outside home but yeah, it makes me feel kinda old too! It makes me laugh while writing this post really. I never thought aging is a little bit scary after all.
Ahhh, it’s inevitable. I have to accept the fact that it will come to me too and I won’t have any way to avoid it. Is there?

Home And Well Being
Have you ever asked that question to yourself recently?
When I was young, I had this misconception that if you are not thin, then you are already healthy. And the bigger you are, the healthier. It was late in my elementary years when my eyes are opened about health and wellness. I represent the class in Nutrition quizzes and the likes so I had a lot of study time about health and I got educated about what health really means.
Now, I have a different outlook about health and wellness. I can now proudly say that health really is your wealth. I had my fair share of hospital visits for myself, the husband and the kids but I think I can still say I am even healthier than most of the patients in there. Once during my visit, there was even someone who needs mesothelioma treatments and it might cost her a lot.
Health cards have been famous nowadays too. Before, a lot of people find these cards as just simply additional and unnecessary expenses. But when people have finally opened their eyes to the benefits of this health cards, more and more HMOs offered different options that will suit the budget of the customers. Now, expensive hospitals are no longer unreachable by middle to low classes. If you have a health card with you, you can get better service too. In the Philippines where hospitals and clinics can be found everywhere, it does not equate to quality service. So to be sure you about your health, secure yourself a health card.
How about you, can you really say you’re healthy? Have you gotten yourself a health card? If not, why?
