Banner for Yz

Posted on June 4th, 2010 in Digital Scrapbooking, Friends

While I was online and waiting for an eczema treatment spam comment to be deleted in my wordpress account, I played around a bit with a logo that Fedhz asked me. This was for Yz and I know Fedhz is preparing something new so I would like to help her a bit. I made this badge for her using my new kit “The Sweet Life” which was released today at Scrapable.

I just hope she will like it. It is quite simple and I followed the instructions given by Fedhz with a little modification. Anyway, if you are interested on what were the items I used in this banner, come and check my latest release at Scrapable. I call this kit, The Sweet Life

The palette was quite girly but I did not want to concentrate on girls alone since it has some blue, green and brown so I made it into something more colorful and sweet, thus the title. I added a couple of girly and some elements that might come in handy for boys layout. I wanted it to be a little versatile despite the colors and I was glad it came out like this. I love it :)

Completing Iggy’s Album

Posted on May 11th, 2010 in Digital Scrapbooking

I have long been waiting for an opportunity to get a boy’s kit. Tess – my friend has a son who celebrated his 5th birthday way back in December and I promised her I will make an album for Iggy. The month of May turned out to be a great opportunity because the collaborative kit we made at Scrapable was a boy theme kit named – Boyish Charm. So, the other day, I had an opportunity to finish my first layout before I went to check some hydroxycut information online.

Hubby was the one who took pictures that day and it was a fun opportunity for him. I used their family photo, the ones taken when the party was nearly over and some of the guests are just chatting with each other. I wanted the LO to be simple but striking to the eyes so I decided to use a dark toned paper for a background to ensure that my chosen photo will pop out! There was a very nice page border – a metallic one and I made use of it too! Since it’s a family photo, I had it nested in the center of the layout with a cute cluster on the right corner. To finalize – I had some bead spills scattered.

The general impression of the layout was appealing to me, but I am pretty sure that my husband will get mad when he sees the photo being this small with a lot of white space LOL! He never really likes using his photo on scrap layouts because I will most likely crop or cut some portions of it LOL! But on the other hand, I am enjoying his photos on my LOs – with the resolution being high and the photos beautifully taken, who wouldn’t?

Missing Some Friends

Posted on March 18th, 2010 in Of Being Me

I was able to get a hold of some old friends online and we chat for more than an hour. I missed them. For more than 3years, we worked at the same company, laughed, watched movies, dine and go out together. Those were the younger days.

I was amazed at how we were able to get together that day. This guy friend of hours – who never frequents yahoo messenger and other social networking sites just happen to be online and looking for some testosterone cream reviews. Another friend happened to be online and had me join the conversation. We added a couple more online buddies and voila – instant online reunion.

It was a fun and enjoyable encounter. We are far from each other and yet it seems like we were just talking like before – sitting together on the company table for lunch and chitchat after. It has always been a happy and a lunch full of laughter and I am terribly missing those days.

How I wish I could still have time to enjoy and be myself like before. Times flew so quick and a lot has changed. Now, I am a mom to 2 lovely little princesses and my priority is them. My friends may have been far but surely, the friendship we made will never be forgotten. Missing you guys!
