If you feel that it’s time to replace your trusty old desktop with something you can more easily lug around, consider getting yourself a used laptop. Second hand doesn’t always mean sub-quality. If you choose well enough, and learn to ask around, you could get yourself a good deal. Not to mention, buying reconditioned laptops does help save the environment, and at the same time, you get to save money. Here are some guidelines on purchasing a used laptop:
Sure, you dream of the latest laptops released this year, but you could go instead for the best models released last year, as they more or less perform the same tasks as this year’s laptops.
It would be wisest to buy your reconditioned laptop direct from a dealer, as they usually come with a warranty. Your other options would be eBay or Craigslist, where they may come cheaper, but with the added risk. Just choose sellers with a 100% feedback rating.
