You could almost hear birds singing, and everything around you just looked extra colorful on that fateful day when he got down on one knee and proposed to you. You couldn’t have been happier when he slipped that ring on your finger. Since that piece of jewelry is a symbol of his undying love and commitment to you, it is only but right for you to learn how to care for your engagement ring like it was the most precious thing on the face of the earth.

Soak your ring in a solution of equal parts of rubbing alcohol and warm water. After several minutes, gently rub all around the ring using a toothbrush. Rinse, and let dry.

Take off your ring when you have to do work with your hands. Be careful not to let the ring scrape against a hard surface. Keep your ring away from household chemicals such as bleaches and hairspray, as they tend to remove the luster from your ring.

  1. I would never guess I would be using a toothbrush to clean a ring. Wouldn’t it scratch it though?
