Pinoy Scrapbookers: Kaya 27 Challenge

Posted on July 25th, 2009 in Scrapbooking

I have been procrastinating in creating my entry for the Kaya 27 Challenge in Pinoy Scrapbookers. When I first saw the challenge details, I was glad that digital entries are accepted. But a few days later, I thought I wanted to have a traditional layout because the ladies in there have great layouts and I was inspired. I gathered my stash to check on what I have and I only have a few. I have several kits purchased from Studio Azul but then I don’t want to use it yet – I am reserving them for my album :)

And so, it is only now that I found time to enjoy my use of PC (hubby is in their Photography Club’s General Assembly). I can use the computer today, all by myself! First thing in the morning, I exported the raw image of the picture hubby took a couple of days ago and made a digital LO for this challenge. I browsed my digital kits but ended up using my favorite kit to date – Grandma’s Porch by Mad Scrapper Designs.

Oh, I remember I did not post about my Kaya 26 entry so I might as well take this opportunity to show it. Kaya 26 was a Pearl Challenge. We have to make a layout with pearls. This was actually my second layout. I was not in the picture on the first layout so I have to redo it. And voila – I made this!

“Engaged”

Materials Used:

Flowers – Prima and Heidi Swapp

Diecut Alphas and photo corner – Colorbok

Patterned paper and rubons – from Studio Azul kit

This was the layout that I did not submit because I did not follow the requirements hehehe. Just want to show you:

  12. I’m just curious, are all your scrapbooks digital? Do you do the real paper thingie, all that cut and paste by scissor and glue? Digi scraps look really great, but probably I won’t have the “refreshed and therapeutic feeling” I get from doing something from my own hands. I do scrapbooking too but —not digital, puro papel , mga laces, ribbons, paste, glue, scissors, buttons, etc. —which I buy at craft stores.
