I’m Into Paper

Posted on June 13th, 2009 in Scrapbooking, Studio Azul

For the past 4months, I have been hooked into digital scrapbooking and it was really a happy feeling to complete and finally post a layout in the gallery and in my blog. Recently, I have been checking out about the traditional scrapbooking and I really really wanted to try it. I want to know the feeling and I want to feel the same satisfaction of everyone upon completion of a layout. I know, it will be more expensive :)

Yesterday, I met with an old friend and a high school classmate, Donna. She’s been into scrapbooking since I don’t know when but she’s into both traditional and digital. The only thing I can tell about her is that all her creations are gorgeous. I am really inspired by her work. Check out scrappydonna‘s layouts for you to see. She taught me how to do paper and even showed me all her tools and inks and other accessories. I was stunned, paper really has more into it and so I ended up buying some of her papers, chipboards and elements, lol!

Oh and by the way, I also joined Studio Azul‘s kit club membership. My very first kit was delivered to me last Thursday. Donna and I used it yesterday when I had my first tutorial. And since this month is the celebration of father’s day, we used the pictures of the kids with their dad. Here is the outcome:

Actually, it is even more fulfilling doing it with your hands than using Photoshop. But I am not saying goodbye to digi, just so you know. I will do both :)

So, how was my very first traditional layout?

  1. galing! ako rin gusto talaga ung paper talaga. marami akong gustong bilhin kaso wala naman me money. kaya hulog ng langit ang digi world sakin. kahit papano, natutupad ung mga gusto ko, kahit di me marunong magdraw, etc. nakakagawa ako ng magandang art.

bale, ngayon, naggugupit na lang ako from cardboard, like cereals at milk. haha! pati mga old greeting cards. ganun naman ang scrap diba? scrap talaga ito literal. hahaha! congrats!!!

  2. I like the color blue background as well as the ducks! Hahaha! In fairness to you Mother, you nailed it! =]

  4. well done mye! I haven’t tried traditional scrapbooking. I keep on looking at all those cute elements, papers, etc. but it seems really costly :)

yeah, you bet. some are still cheap but when you buy a lot of stuffs it becomes expensive. Others are expensive talaga but I am not there yet… :)
